With glorious views overlooking the common, this imposing and spacious late-Victorian townhouse in Parsons Green was chosen by a young, growing family relocating from New York as their new forever home. Maurizio Pellizzoni was appointed to redesign the entire 3400 sq.ft home that’s’ spread magnificently across a total of five floors with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. A previously extended kitchen was completely reconfigured and the basement was redesigned featuring a cinema room, wine cellar, second cloakroom, second guest bedroom with en suite bathroom and a large laundry room. The large loft conversion features a gym and a large bathroom. There’s an abundance of light throughout the entire property, from being perfectly adjacent to the open common, to the striking floor to ceiling glass panels, skylights and even a partial-glass floor.
The owners wanted a modern city home that incorporated the ‘Americano’ look and drew on Maurizio for his experience and expertise at Ralph Lauren. They wanted to find a balance in the overall design that accommodated fast paced city living and the ambiance of relaxing in the Hamptons where they spend most summers. Practically, the home needed to be child friendly and remain spacious enough to host family and friends regularly visiting from the USA.
The client wanted, a confortable family home not a show-home. We decided to use many of the furniture the client had already from the previous homes, transforming familiar pieces simply by new upholstery. Contemporary pieces from Italian brands such as B&B Italia, Poliform and Lema where chosen for the interiors, also some luxury and timeless pieces from Ralph Lauren Home to give the extra luxury feel. This combination gives this five-storey townhouse a simultaneously youthful and sophisticated air, where the eclectic mixture of furnishings and art reflects the wide range of interest of the owners.
A cleverly designed compact space, the apartment features a sculptural wooden cube in the centre of the space that houses all of the main services including the kitchen and bathroom, plus a study and a storage cupboard. The bedrooms overlook the bustling streets, whereas, pivoting full height glazed windows feature across the length of the living area offering a view of the modern terrace and extending the space to the outdoors dramatically in the summer months. Two long adjacent corridors run alongside the central enclosed cube, which ensures an abundance of natural light flows throughout the apartment
The client is a young professional who had relocated from Hong Kong. An advocate of Maurizio’s work and Italian design, she enlisted him to create a stylish and elegant ‘grown up’, interior. Maurizio was naturally able to draw inspiration from his Italian roots and chose Minotti as one of the main brands for the project. As part of the brief for the style of the scheme, she desired a modern, sophisticated apartment to retreat to. She also needed a space to enjoy entertaining family and friends in and also host elegant dinners for business colleagues.
The brief was to recreate The Hamptons in the Surrey Hills, and Maurizio set about creating an upscale ‘American look’ that incorporated the owners’ many personal antiques and objets d’art

As part of an investment property purchase by a professional couple, this charming bijou London apartment was refurbished for their young daughter in her twenties, in an upcoming prime spot of Marylebone. The new owners were attracted to the area because it was close to Regents Park and the location is very convenient for public transport connections. The client wanted to have two bedrooms and two bathrooms as this would help to maintain the value of the property and part of the brief was to keep in mind the potential to eventually let out the property or use it for the Air BnB market.
The owners’ vision was to create the scheme of a Parisienne boutique hotel and Maurizio set out to achieve a vibrant, elegant, luxurious and modern apartment. The colour scheme evolved to what became a more feminine apartment using soft pastel colours and a mixture of polished brass and chrome finishes. Using a mixture of colours and textures inspired by Coachella, Maurizio used beautiful, high quality materials to create a jewel. The chosen artwork in particular reflects this style.
The house indulges in spectacular views facing the Willamette River in a wilderness of organic scenery, where the family enjoys an organic approach to living and often kayak in the river. A very private, secluded spot drenched in natural greenery, the house is protected by nature that keeps this family home very private. Maurizio embarked on this project by bringing the outside in without breaking the natural synergy with the seasons for a natural living setting.
Maurizio took the history of each room and the artworks in it as a starting point and added new furniture, bespoke pieces and antiques, some of which were already there. The result is a warm family home that bears the stamp of its owners’ individual taste and the building’s rich history.
Maurizio satisfied the client’s requests and added soft furnishings, subtle patterns and various textures to create a cool, contemporary space. A bespoke steel and glass staircase, designed by Maurizio, links the sitting room, the mezzanine bedroom and the roof terrace.
Maurizio captured the essence of a boutique hotel suite designed around the client’s tastes and expectations whilst in the comfort of a prime location flat. The client is now able to share his experience with friends and give them a taste of what London does best.
The brief for this modern Greater London property was to create a comfortable space for entertaining friends and taking time out from the city. Maurizio drew on the style of a classic Hollywood lifestyle that suited the modern architecture of the house and met the client’s desire to create a fun bachelor escape.
Located in Chelsea, Antigua House is so-called because Maurizio Pellizzoni was asked to create interiors which echo its owner’s second home in the Caribbean. Evoking colonial charm, Maurizio opted for polished wood floors, natural linens, coir matting and a cream, taupe and chocolate colour palette.

The concept of this collaboration was to showcase the very best of 'Made in Italy' in Mayfair, one of the most exclusive areas of London. Maurizio was given carte blanche to design the interior and chose one of the finest brands to champion this concept by exclusively furnishing the penthouse with Minotti London. As a penthouse, the space is naturally filled with sunlight, so Maurizio designed a blue / grey scheme to keep the interior scheme light and airy. Polished brass and chrome finishes were used to accent the look. Artwork was selected from Maddox Gallery for the final layer of the design. He chose a selection of key pieces by contemporary artists to add a final touch to this luxurious scheme.
The concept of ’The Italian Collective’ was to create something different in a difficult market, something special that truly stands out from a typical refurbishment of a Mayfair apartment. Maurizio was chosen as part of the collaboration to give the property a unique edge - it's very different to anything else on the market in the area in terms of appeal and style. It’s a far cry from a show home development that’s typically been home staged.

The brief was to bring a dash of the Cote D’Azur to the Scottish Highlands. The space was a new extension to an eighteenth-century family house, complete with several bedrooms, a kitchen and a turret with a bell-tower.
It took Maurizio six years to complete, and is a capsule collection of all the things he loves - dark woods, leather, stone, wallpaper and a brown, grey and blue colour palette.

The client wanted two distinct looks; one for summer and one for winter, with interchangeable accessories and furnishings. Maurizio created a white linen interior for summer and a palette of gold, brown and black for winter. The loose covers, gold accessories, and Persian rugs can be removed and stored away. The client’s personal collection of books, artworks and antiques were also incorporated into the scheme. The brief was to create a warm and welcoming home-environment whilst retaining the airy open-plan accommodation. The client requested two distinct looks for the summer and winter season with interchangeable accessories and furnishings inspired by the Ralph Lauren lifestyle.
Maurizio created a white linen summer look accessorised with white orchids that would enhance the riverside setting in summer months. For winter, a colour palette of gold, brown and black were chosen for warmth. The loose covers, gold accessories, and Persian rugs are easily removed and stored away for the summer period. The client had a collection of art books, original artwork and antiques that Maurizio Pellizzoni Ltd incorporated into the scheme.
The re-design was a general upgrade of all that had been done beforehand including architectural fittings and decoration. The modern building was a mixed-use development and the challenge was injecting warmth into the interior. Fabrics from J Robert Scott, Sacho Hesslein and DeLeCuona were used alongside key furniture pieces from Ralph Lauren. Antiques, Persian rugs and artefacts were used to give character.

‘Designed at Talisman’ will see the New Kings Road showroom transform into a designer house as part of London Design Festival 2017. When Drummonds invited leading international interior designer, Maurizio Pellizzoni, to design a bathroom suite, he knew he had to create something at the epitome of luxury for this special event that runs from 15th September to 6th October.

Two new luxury outdoor sets for the Bachelor Pad feature in British GQ, Maurizio immediately delved into inspirations deriving from the long summer days he’d spent whilst growing up in Lake Como, Italy. Filled with rich materials and decorations, the mixture of beautiful furniture and accessories that set the scene of the ultimate summer experience by the Lake.

The inspiration behind this cover design is based on the Federico Fellini movies and some of the classic, iconic imagery of the stunning Sophia Loren in her earlier career days. I have always been a huge fan of those beautiful Italian movies and inspired by the attention to detail they pervade. Red is a very vibrant colour, full of life and in this design, portrays passion and a sense of classic glamour.
