Maurizio Pellizzoni is delighted to announce his partnership at Masterpiece 2017 where he has designed the Lecture Theatre this year. Located on the South Grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, Masterpiece is an unmissable art fair at the height of the capital’s summer arts season, 29 – 5th July 2017. The Fair is established as the leading international event for seeing and buying 6000 years worth of art history, jewellery, furniture and design from antiquity to the present day with over 150 of the world’s top galleries exhibiting.
Maurizio Pellizzoni’s ‘Secret Garden’ themed installation emulates a story derived from his Italian roots. From the lined streets across towns and cities of northern Italy are an array of beautiful hidden gardens behind heavy doors of grand palazzos and rough walls that have stood for centuries. The narrative of these magical gardens enriched with Italian history and art is the inspiration behind Maurizio’s Secret Garden design. The theatre is a green oasis draped in elegant materials and lighting, a selection of art works, an assortment of beautiful plants and terracotta pots as well as a stunning full drop living wall. Featured works include several acrylics by John Golding for Piano Nobile, works from Louise Nelevson from Cortesi Gallery and Ricardo Mazal and Sohan Qadri for Gallery Sundaram Tagore.
Partners include Architectural Plants, Minotti London, Treebox, Bang & Olufsen, TM Lighting, Qeeboo, Piano Nobile, Cortesi Gallery and Gallery Sundaram Tagore.
“Thank you for your part in helping to inform and inspire our visitors to this year’s Fair. We are extremely grateful for your creative design of the space - we have had amazing feedback regarding this and our Lecture Theatre programme.
The team are extremely grateful to you and your fellow speakers for taking the time to take part in the programme, and especially to you as the designer of the space.”
